College students in the U.S. are the latest victims as the global credit crisis worsens and financing from banks and other lending institutions dries up. American students who need a student loan to pay their way through college, are starting to have a tough time accessing funds. A large amount of public and private student aid lenders are beginning to quit handing out college aid, causing students hardship in finding student aid.

The list of companies who are no longer offering money is on the increase. One state agency, that has served the student community, has recently announced that it will no longer be offering money for college, leaving students at nearly 100 colleges and universities without cash for money for college.

Student loans are usually supported by some of the major banks, including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Citibank, but they have stopped supporting the normally low-risk securities that financial assistance traditionally backed. Financial experts are predicting that funds will also become more expensive, as well as being harder to access.

The major source of funds is a federal government scheme in which it backs loans to means-tested students. The money for college are often used for tuition fees and then a further private loan is usually needed to cover general expenses. It is these private loans which will become more difficult to obtain. As yet, there is no evidence to suggest that lenders are failing to support their obligations to the federal loans.

The other area of concern is the growing number of families who have been caught by the mortgage crisis - many will have college-aged children. The people most affected by the disappearance of student loans will be low income earners and people with a low credit score, and families suffering with their mortgages are now included in this group. There will be a growing number of students who will be refused loans due to their parents' credit rating.

It has been estimated that about 100,000 students will not qualify for private or government loans this year due to poor credit. Add to this the decreasing number of companies providing student loans, and there will be problems for many college students.

For those who are caught between a rock and hard place with this credit crisis, a trip to your schools financial aid department is in order. They will be able to steer you in the right direction to find student aid assistance.

If you wake up and find that you've exhausted your resources, then it's important to start researching unconventional ways such as scholarships, grants or small loans. At the end of the day, a financially challenged Student may have to get an education the old fashioned way...by getting a job and paying for it yourself.

My answer is clear: you should make your website well-known and attractive. And both of these are dependent on the content of your website. In this article, I will share some tips that would help you write a perfect blog post for your site.

A perfect blog post should contain some keywords in its title. Search engines use keywords to index and retrieve the page links. Keywords in the title of the page will be weighted higher then keywords in its body. Since most users search engines to find things they want, putting keywords to the title of your blog post will bring more chance for it to be in search results and that would not have increased website traffic of your site.

Search results contain huge lists of page links, therefore if the title is not interesting the user will not open it. An attractive title would be short and simple and state clearly whether the reader is going to find in it what he is looking for or not. It should also guide the reader about its contents.

The best part of your post should be its body. It should have what the title says it has and be as interesting. If this does not happen, the reader is in for as disappointment and will seldom revisit your page or site.

One thing to keep in mind while writing a good blog post would be to break it up into at least three parts. One for the introduction one for the conclusion and the rest for the other details. The introduction could contain the context and objective of the article. The body or the details could be an elaboration of the ideas of the post. Each idea should be explained in a different paragraph.

It is advisable to keep the post short, as many people like me, would tend to be intimidated by long copy. One would wonder, if itas worth his while to read such a long piece. If the article is short, one would feel more comfortable with it and would also be likely to read it entirely.

So without taking up your time further and acting on the advice I myself have given through this article, I will keep it short. Once again, to state in short, the things to remember, while creating that perfect blog post would be, to keep it concise, have an introduction, conclusion, body of details and an interesting title, which should be true to the content of the article.

In making online many people jump right in before they are properly ready. You know that to be a rocket scientist, a doctor, a school teacher, a surveyor, an office worker, a lawyer there is study and exams to do , things you must learn, before becoming successful, you don't just jump right in unprepared

The same thing applies to the Internet marketing world even though there are sharks out there who'd have you believe it's a "Walk in the Park" and requires no more than the belief that you can just do it.

And I must admit, it is as easy as falling of a log compared to what you have to go through with in the working world clocking in and being a underling to someone who does not have your best interests in their mind, but there are still methods and rules you have to follow and down falls you must avoid to really make Internet marketing work for you.

Nearly all people will not make a brass razoo online and yet there are others who will make more in one day than most people make in a whole month. Why is this?

My answer to this begins with the age-old question which is the chicken or egg question, "what comes first the chicken or the egg"? Each argument you or I make comes back to the same old answer - I have no idea and I don't think many of us do either

But one thing I do have a clue about and know for sure is that to make money online you must first have Passion for the company products and/or service of any Internet business from which you expect to make money.

Passion in this sense basically means that you've researched the company and and like the products or services it provides. It is then that you translate that Passion and like into the education, excitement and work that usually accompanies Passion.

I will have to say that many online entrepreneurs are really so good at what they do that they ignore passion because they can sell anything. But I'm concerned about those of you who don't have a knowledgeable understanding of working an online business successfully.

Now, I'm not trying to make everyone believe that Passion is the only thing that's needed. Because to be really successful you must also have a good website, good marketing, widespread advertising, company support, effective keywords, good business relationships and so on. Those attributes are often learned from the company you join - but sidestep Passion and you reduce your chances for success greatly.

It therefore follows that, if you have no Passion for the company and the products and services provided by that company, again, you won't attempt to do the work you are being taught.

Internet marketing work is generally not all that difficult or takes a lot of time but it does take motivation caused by Passion to get you up and running with a sustained effort so that you won't stumble.

You have a great resource in the Internet search engines such as Google or Yahoo to search about the Internet Marketing Industry for online or offline business opportunities, PLEASE USE IT!

In doing your research you should discover a company that you like and will have confidence in. It should be founded on great principles, solid, and easily to understood with terrific products and services that are sell-able for which you can have Passion. If you don't find it move on, you will I'm sure find the right opportunity containing the attributes identified above. It just takes a bit of time and patience

If you make comments like, well, that company sounds good and the money looks great so I guess I'll start with that business - doesn't sound like a decision based on anything like Passion. And please remember when you hear that an Internet "guru" does that, don't be tempted, because as I said earlier they are experienced and can sell just about anything, without being Passionate about the company products and services.

Note: By the way it's your goal to get to the point where you can sell about anything online. That end skill and goal is a worthy one indeed.

Remember, there are other steps you must make before you step into Internet Marketing but if you can't first find that right company with products and services that you can be passionate about, then all of those other steps may just cause you a lot of trouble instead of bringing you a great result.

By not being Passionate about a company and it's products and services that has proven it's self in the market that it will sell is a pitfall you simply must avoid.

If you've done the work we've discussed in the first 3 installments of this series, you'll be standing in a place today of knowing who you are, where you're starting from, where you want to go and how you're going to get there.

Do you love the topics of sales and marketing? The majority of people would answer no. You're not alone if you would like to have clients lining up to do business with you without you ever having to 'sell' yourself or your products and if a marketing plan could become a thing of the past.

But... reality is that unless you work on increasing the level of skill you have in the areas of sales, marketing and communication, your business has no chance of reaching it's full potential and even worse, it has every chance of failure.

So how do you blueprint these areas of your business for success?

In last week's blueprint I mentioned that the top 3% of the people in the world have such a different life than the other 97% because they look at life differently and they make conscious choices. One of those conscious choices is to create a plan for building their business and it's day to day operations for growth and financial prosperity.

This may not be a sexy topic but you can create a very elegant life with the cash flow that results from this particular blueprint.

Just like with the other blueprints we've discussed, first you have to know your starting point. The next step is to evaluate how you feel about where you are and then decide where you would like to take it next.

Are you doing what needs to be done to grow your business to the level you would like in a time frame that is optimal for you?

One thing I can tell you is that this is as individualized as any of the other 3 blueprints. Don't measure your success or lack of success against what you see someone else doing in their business. That could be a fatal mistake and take you in a direction you really have no desire to go, while you follow someone else who is following their dream.

Remember that this is all about you. What you are passionate about, what you want your life to look like, the activities you choose to include in the way you create your business and the way you grow your business.

What you may not have considered in this big picture is what do you really want your business to provide for you?

I can guarantee you that it's not about an amount of money in the bank. What does that money represent to you and what do you want it to do for you? When you answer those questions you'll have a better idea of what the goal of your business really is.

In what proportion do you want to trade your time for money? The answer to that will tell you to what extent at this moment in time you either value your lifestyle more or your bank account more.

Most importantly, there is no right or wrong answer. It's your choice. There are no rules of how many hours you should or shouldn't work. It's more about looking at why you're working the hours that you do.

Once you are clear on how many hours you choose to work, what you want to spend that time doing and the results you expect to achieve, you can create a blueprint of sales, marketing and the proper communication to your target market to achieve those goals in the time frame you would like.

It goes back to the premise of all 4 of these blueprints that what you are creating is the script of what you want your life story to be from now on.

It's time for you to take 100% responsibility and take back 100% of your power. Pick up your pen and create a script for yourself that is exciting and compelling and passionate and fulfilling for you on every level.

And remember that a vital ingredient to making this work is the cash your business provides to fund the life of your dreams, so let's create the business of your dreams to go along with it.

Next, after you evaluate how you feel about where you are, take a look at what shifts you would like to make. Figure out what the end result is you are moving toward.

What do you really want your business to look like if there are no limits?

There's one common theme that shows up over and over in emails, blog posts, Ask campaigns and phone calls. Year after year, it's always the same. But I don't think I ever realized the extent of what you were asking for, until now. Do you know what I'm talking about?

You want a short cut, not just a process, but a short cut for the system, a short cut for the program, the Cliff notes of the book, you want the magic pill.

Poof, it's done.

Actually, now that I'm writing this I can think of a couple Internet marketing things I'd like that magic pill for myself, but I've never found one and I don't believe it really exists.

I'm not saying it's an inherently bad thing to want it boiled down to the barest of effort, to almost eliminate the learning curve. I know it's not that you're lazy. I get that you're totally and frustratingly overwhelmed. There's way too much information and too many offers and too many programs that say you can't live without this new and improved tool that will instantly transform your business.

In very few instances that may be true.

But it's not always possible. Most of the time there is some level of work on your part and a learning curve involved. How much time, money and effort will vary depending on what you're doing and also to a certain extent what level of success you choose to achieve.

You do consciously or sub-consciously choose your level of success by choosing your level of commitment and the level of education you decide to buy. Yes, I said buy, because most high level education that leads to lasting success is something you buy. From a $7 report to a $100,000 a year mentoring program. You choose.

I understand your financial ability plays a role in what you buy, but you need to understand that your financial situation will rarely shift on it's own without you taking a leap of faith and possibly putting something on a credit card, or a few credit cards. In the first 2 years I was learning this business I built up quite a library of resource that helped me grow and I was initially putting out a lot more money than I was taking in. I took a leap of faith. Without doing that I don't believe I would be where I am today.

Most people need more to be successful than just one quick fix and thats what Ive been thinking about the last few days. Ive been asking myself how can I put together all the different pieces I teach into a cohesive package that delivers exactly what you need.

So I've laid all the piece out here for you. If you think there's one you need right now grab it and run with it.

There are 4 areas that will help you build your business and also allow you to live the life of your dreams. It's a process and you need to cover all four areas to sustain the success you build.

1. Introspection: Who are you? What do you want in your life? What will make you change?

2. Out-Picturing: What is your passion? How are you going to design and create the life of your dreams? What will the business be that funds all this?

3. Sales and Communication Skills: How are you going to speak to your target market about what you've created? What kind of branding,marketing materials, sales copy, talks, presentations are you going to create to bring in new clients? What is going to be the foundation of how you speak your business in the world? How will you learn to effectively communicate with your clients?

4. Putting It All Together and Growing: Where will you get the tools, strategies,and training to continuously take your business and your life to the next level?

Here's some of your comments that have been keeping me up at night working on a way to put it all together to give you the easiest, most streamlined solution:

ISO 9001 documentation structure is outlined in the ISO 10013 Standard - Guidelines for Developing Quality Manuals. This standard recommends using a three-level structure. In practice, many companies use four-level documentation model that includes records. 4-level quality management system is shown below:

Quality Manual - level 1

Procedures - level 2

Instructions - level 3

Records - level 4

Actually, the documentation structure starts from the policy. The policy defines, among others, commitments with what standard a company intends to comply with. If you choose to use this approach, your quality management system will have five levels, similar to the structure below:

Quality Policy - level 1

Quality Manual - level 2

Procedures - level 3

Instructions - level 4

Records - level 5

Document titles for your ISO 9001 QMS

As you may have noticed, the titles of the documents in the structure above are quite short. Various companies use different conventions for their document titles. For example, one of my customers titled their quality manual as "Quality Management System Quality Manual."

It is a very typical convention in the medical device manufacturing and other regulated industries to call the second-level documentation Standard Operating Procedures, known as SOPs. Unless one has a level called "Non-standard Operating Procedures," I really do not see a practical or economical reason for long titles like these. As long as the short name conveys the idea and leads us to the right place, let's use it. I will promote this optimization and reduction of waste approach throughout this publication. Let's not make things more complicated than they practically need to be.

Numbering your documents

It is not a specific requirement of the ISO 9001 or any other standard to uniquely identify a part or a document. It is perhaps a common-sense measure and a worldwide practice in any documentation system, to give a document or a component a number and a title, and to identify its revision level. As documentation titles, document numbering is an area for creativity and an opportunity for optimization.

One of my clients runs a small company of some 120 employees. Their documentation control procedure prescribed two numeration systems that dependent on the type of a document. QMS documents had numbers like XX-XXX, and production parts required part number format as XXXXXXX-XXX. One of the drawings had a number 000048-002. Folks on the floor called it "four-eight."

One can certainly use these long-long numbers, but is it practical? So far I did not meet a single company that could justify such an approach. When I audited this client, the organization had less than 250 documents. There were no indications that the company will significantly grow. Therefore, to use document number format allowing hundreds of thousands of numbers could hardly be justified. The most unreadable part numbers I had to deal with was at a mid size company with 13-digit alphanumeric part number format! Try to write those in your audit report!

I hope it is clear that only when extensive part numbers are justified, we do not have other options. If you build helicopters or satellites, you, no doubt, will need millions of parts and therefore will need long part numbers. If not, make your life easy and stay away from all those zeros. The most practical system I worked with used a three-digit format for their part numbers. 202, 203, 204, and so on. Worked just fine!

So far we explored opportunities for improvements in the area of document titles and numbers. Yet, there is another issue with part numbers. Many companies relate a document number to a document type. For example, 20-xxxx indicates a procedure, 30-xxxx indicates a drawing, POP-xxxx indicates a Production Operating Procedure, etc. My practice with a few QMS that used designation approaches showed that "no designation" systems are more practical. Several QMS that used designation I have worked with have failed. Not long ago, one of my clients mentioned that they ran out of range in their document numbering format. The QMS initially permitted for identifying suppliers through a two-digit extension within the part number. While the company grew, the number of supplier increased beyond expectations and eventually the company needed more than 99 suppliers. This resulted in the document number format not being able to support new needs.

To get around this issue, there is a simple solution - a "no designation" system. Part or document numbers in such systems are assigned sequential unique numbers. Areas of use, materials, suppliers, and other attributes are not reflected in part numbers. Moving in this direction, you can simplify your system even more. I worked with a company that did not use document No. at all. That documentation system used just document name followed by a revision number, like Process Validation Protocol AB.

If you've done the work we've discussed in the first 4 installments of this series, you've got to be feeling pretty great about your life focus and your business right now. Through the first 4 weeks you've worked on knowing who you are, where you're starting from, where you want to go, how you're going to get there and how to ramp up your sales and marketing program using better communications skills to bring in more cash.

Now it's time for a mentoring blueprint.

In other blueprints I've mentioned that the top 3% of the people in the world have such a different life than the other 97% because they look at life differently and they make conscious choices. I told you that one of those conscious choices is to create a plan for building their business and it's day to day operations for growth and financial prosperity.

Another very crucial conscious choice the top 3% of people make is to invest in themselves.

Once again, first you have to know your starting point. The next step is to evaluate how you feel about where you are and then decide where you would like to take it next. You need to be laser focused and absolutely clear on what your next step is to get the best results from mentoring. If you're not you could pick the wrong thing to be mentored on or the wrong time to do it.

It is likely that as you progress on your path you will have more than one mentor for different parts of your life or business working with you at the same time.

I have said many times that you should be willing to invest at least 10% of your income in your own growth if you are really serious. Then find the mentors that understand where it is that you want to go and have the experience to take you there.

Here is where I differ with what many coaches and gurus will tell you. They will say that you should only work with someone who has done what you want to do and mentored others to do the same.

But that's not the whole story.

Where would Tiger Woods be today if he took that advice? His coaches have not been the best golfers in the world at any time in their careers; far from it.

Some people are gifted teachers and know the process of what needs to be done to get Tiger, or you, to the desired result without either the personal skill or perhaps the desire to reach that level themselves or possibly neither.

In my 25 year career as a salesperson, manager and trainer, I can tell you that the majority of the best salespeople couldn't train others to do what they do because they don't have the skill of a great teacher. That's not their gift. And yet someone who was an average salesperson can have an amazing understanding of the sales process and be an incredibly gifted mentor.

Some of the top gurus in your field may be the same way, the very best at what they do but not the best person to mentor someone to do the same.

If I were to share my personal preferences with you, I look for a mentor that understands what I want to accomplish. If I'm working with them one on one or in a small group, I want them to be excited about being involved in helping me reach that goal. I want them to have the skill level to be able to guide me through the process.

Are you getting the mentoring you need to grow your business and expand your level of personal growth?

Even more so than the other blueprints this is as extremely individualized so it's important that you make a decision based on your own gut feeling about your possible mentor. Don't just ask for a recommendation from a friend and assume that the relationship you will have with your mentor will be the same as theirs.

In this type of relationship, where you are getting personal mentoring, having a good fit of personalities is very important.

Remember that this is all about you. What you are passionate about, what you want your life to look like, the activities you choose to include in the way you create your business and the way you grow your business. Make those things clear to your prospective mentor and see if you are in alignment before proceeding.

It's your life. It's your business. It's your choice. Do what feels right to you.

In life you have to be decisive. There are consequences no matter what you choose and I hope you realize that even telling yourself you're not going to make a decision is a decision that has it's own consequences. Sometimes you don't know what the ramifications of your action or inaction until you get down the road a ways and can look back while in others situations it is immediately clear.

There were 2 scenes in the movie "No Country for Old Men" that illustrated 2 different outcomes, but not so different in the way they played out. The problem with both of the 'victims' in these scenes is that neither one of them wanted to make a decision. One victim didn't decide and her fate was different than the guy who after much threatening was bullied into making a decision that saved his life.

In the first scene the killer, who immediately makes the man nervous, starts asking him simple questions that make him so nervous he wants to close up and run away. Then the killer asks the man to call the toss of the coin at one point in their conversation and the guy is so reluctant to call the coin toss because he needs to know first what he stands to win. You'll see where it goes from there.

The 2nd scene is with a woman. She tells him he has no cause to harm her. Given the same option of calling the coin, she refuses because she knows what's going to happen. If she would have made a decision do you think the outcome may have been different?

That's what it looks like to live from a place of fear.

I can guarantee you that a person who has achieved great success in life or amassed great wealth would have responded quickly. Why? Because they are aware of their surroundings. They pay attention to all the verbal and non-verbal cues when they are having a conversation and they would have made a decision about this stranger who was confronting them with this choice before he ever asked the question.

They also trust their gut, their intuition, their higher self, whatever you want to call paying attention to the Universe.

Part of being an intelligent risk taker is learning to be flexible, resourceful and resilient. To achieve a breakthrough to free yourself from the locks that have up until this point prevented you from reaching the level of success you'd like to have in your life you'll need to learn how to do what super successful people do. They respond creatively and imaginatively by seeing the big picture.

There's no guarantee that every decision you make will be the right one, but your judgment gets better with practice and so do your odds of making good decisions for yourself. Successful are also able to bounce back from resistance rather than be broken by it. They think outside the box by being flexible enough to look at other perspectives and options.

Greatness comes from continuing through to the finish in the face of resistance. Flexibility gives you the power to return to your center.

Do you find yourself putting off making decisions that seem scary and you're not sure how they are going to turn out?

Stop it. I'm serious stop it now.

Start stepping outside of the box and take a chance. Here's 3 questions to ask yourself:

1. Ask yourself what's the worst thing that could happen? 2. Then ask, "What will I do if it does?" 3. Lastly, "What's the best result I could get if I take action now?"

Now you have a plan of action for how you'll handle it if the worst happens, which it rarely does. But the good part is, now you don't have to worry about 'what if" anymore because you have a plan. And most likely you realized that nothing that bad would happen anyway, so go for what you really want. Step up and step out and enjoy the success it brings.

Unfortunately today, the public are increasingly more inclined to disbelieve rather than believe politicians. On balance it is difficult to accept that the government's claim that the primary motivation is safety. Why else would they, as many experts in this field claim, exaggerate the extent to which cameras improve safety?

As a Contract Hire company we are generally in much closer contact with our clients and customers, than perhaps a main dealership. This is because a contract hire company supplies vehicles across the whole range of manufacturers, rather than a dealership that will generally just supply their particular marque, so contact with our clients and customers tends to be much more frequent.

As a result of this increased contact we are generally more aware of our client's complaints about motoring in Britain and of course we see the evidence of their complaints with regard to increasing numbers of speeding and parking fines. This is because with both contract hire and personal contract hire, the speeding, parking and congestion charge fines come directly to us, as we are shown in the registration document, as the registered keeper.

Probably the biggest complaint amongst motorists is speeding fines. Although interestingly many of those who complain, consider speeding to be dangerous and believe that it should be curbed. What they object to is what they feel is unfair entrapment; an example of this is the variable speed limits on motorways, the speed limit can go from 70 mph, to 50, to 40 and then sometimes back to 50 again over a relatively short stretch of motorway.

The authorities say that the variable speed limit is designed to improve traffic flow, although they do not appear to have seriously considered a ban on heavy goods vehicles overtaking on motorways. This is the case on large sections of motorway in the Netherlands, which has the effect of increasing road capacity. Safety cameras are also designed to cut accidents and there is some evidence, for example on the M25 they have indeed cut accidents. However many motorists believe that it is simply a way of catching a motorist unaware and to impose a fine in order to increase government revenues. An interesting question with regard to variable speed limits is how safe is it for motorist to be constantly looking for warnings of changing speed limits and then at their speedometer? Even if the driver has cruise control they still take their eyes off the road each time they reset their cruise control.

Perhaps more sensibly The Department of Transport is installing average speed detectors on some 500 miles of motorways. This would be much fairer system because rather than punishing a motorist for a momentary lapse it measures a motorist's average speed over a certain distance. Rather like in France where you can be timed between the tolls and fined for speeding exceeding the speed limit.

The government has installed many safety cameras on dual carriageways, again they say to reduce accidents and the motorists say to increase government revenues. The conclusion drawn by many experts is that whilst they do improve safety, the government has exaggerated the degree to which they are helpful in reducing serious accidents. What then could be the government's motives for exaggerating the benefit? It's difficult to conclude that it is anything other than the financial gain in fining large numbers of motorists.

A survey carried out recently by IAM Motoring Trust, revealed that a majority of motorists (78%) still feel that that safety cameras are a good thing. Although 12% less than when the same survey was carried out in 1999, only a minority of those surveyed believing that they were introduced for safety rather than raising revenue. This appears to suggest they feel that "safety cameras" can save lives in spite of the fact that the government's reasons for deploying them are cynical. It was claimed that the county of Northamptonshire initially targeted the town of Northamptonshire with safety cameras but switched the targeted area to the M1 and A14 to catch passing motorists and avoid political fallout locally. Surely if the purpose is to make the roads safer rather than raising revenue, they would want their own town safer. The problem is that this can create resentment and many inevitably ask what is happening with this extra revenue that is being generated, because we have a very poor and under funded road system compared with many other European countries.

Another example of what seems to be purely an exercise in raising additional revenue from motorists through speeding fines, are roads, sometimes on the outskirts of a town, which appear to have illogically low speed limits. The road is often wide and straight and by all reasonable measures safe, however it will have a 30mph speed limit. A lot of motorists get caught out, because everything about the road suggests that it is a road with a 40mph speed limit and these are favourite spots for the police to put mobile detection units.

A motorist who receives a fine for exceeding the speed limit on one of these roads may feel that theirs is an isolated case. However as a contract hire and leasing company we know different; because all our client's fines are sent to us and it is quite extraordinary the number of motorists fined for speeding on exactly the same stretches of road. Suggesting that these are spots where the government feels they can generate some easy revenue.

If safety and saving lives were the government's main aim, then imposing variable speed limits and safety cameras in the vicinity of schools would seem much more logical. In one report into child fatalities, it was stated that a child hit by a car travelling at 20 mph had a 95% chance of survival, at 30 mph a 50% chance and 40 mph only 10% survived. When a car travelling at 40 mph hits a child, they will be thrown up to 30 metres. There would not seem to be a better reason for installing safety cameras and imposing a variable speed limit at certain times of the day in these areas. One reason for not doing so could be that it is not cost effective.

Parking restrictions is another area of which motorists complain bitterly; again motorists appear to be in complete agreement with parking restrictions that serve to improve traffic flow and avoid congestion. In many towns and cities however it is difficult to see any reason for the yellow lines, other than to make motorists park on meters or in Pay and Display zones. There are some towns that then keep the parking restrictions in place on a Sunday, catching out many motorists, who not unnaturally do not expect there to be restrictions on a Sunday

Over zealous traffic wardens are a source of a great deal of complaints amongst motorists. Of course a traffic warden must do his or her job but as long as you have traffic wardens who are rewarded based on the number of tickets that they issue, you will have tickets issued unfairly. Traffic wardens can be seen checking the position of parked vehicles and if they are even a fraction outside of the parking bay, issuing a ticket. The BBC reported in 2007 that a traffic warden in Enniskillen Northern Ireland issued 2,590 parking tickets in a little over 6 months. It is important to remember that if a traffic warden is issuing a ticket, for it to be valid; they must affix it to the vehicle. If you arrive at your vehicle and you advise the warden that you are going and they say "too late I have already started to write the ticket" you are quite within your rights just to drive off.

It has been claimed that the congestion charge has reduced unnecessary journeys into central London but who is to say they were unnecessary? Many motorists say that their journey was necessary but they are not in a financial position to pay the congestion charge on a regular basis.

Ken Livingston was planning to introduce a new charge of 25 for cars with high fuel consumption. Porsche Cars GB was mounting a challenge in the courts, they claimed, "It is an illegal use of power by the mayor". Porsche believed it to be "unfair and disproportionate" and filed an application for a judicial review in the High Court. However Ken Livingston lost his position to Boris Johnson who was elected the new Mayor of London, he made it clear that he will scrap the 25 charge.

Many ask why is it that we in Britain pay Road Fund Licence and such high levels of duty on fuel compared with many countries but still have a very poorly funded road system. In analysis carried out by The Institute of Fiscal Studies in 2005, they revealed that taxation represented 69.9% of the cost of unleaded fuel and 67.3% of the cost of diesel. Motorists additionally pay the government substantial sums in speeding and parking fines. Sometimes a slab leak will be obvious. You may be able to spot moist, wet, or damp spots (or stains) on your floor or carpeting. There may be water coming through your foundation "or your foundation may begin to settle. Maybe youve noticed low water pressure. It may be a noticeable (even dramatic) increase in your water bill.

Slab leaks can occur in your homes potable water line or in your outgoing sanitary sewer line; both of which may be embedded in or under the foundation of the building. Leaks in either set of lines can cause large amounts of damage to the foundation and each has its own list of causes, some are shared. Slab leaks in the potable water line can potentially be more destructive because the supply water is under pressure. It runs through or under the concrete slab, then to the water heater where copper pipes split off and carry water to all the hot and cold water fixtures in your house.

There are four main causes of slab leaks in a houses incoming water lines. Chemistry is the first, either the chemical interaction between copper water pipes or the water running though them (copper pipe is very susceptible to pinhole leaks caused by the chemical composition of your water), or electrolysis from the copper pipe coming into contact with soil. The second is that due to the foundation shifting (because of poor design or installation, or a change in the moisture of the ground) and pull your pipes apart. The third is water pressure that is too high (the diameter of the pipes installed may be too small) will corrode copper pipe. Leaks will also form at points where the pipes bend or change direction. The fourth cause may just be poor craftsmanship or workmanship: inferior plumbing supplies or materials (e.g. pipes, soldering) or a plumber that rushes or isnt experienced. It could also be a kinked line (a piece of pipe with an imperfection) or nicked by another (non-plumbing) workman, such as those that pour the concrete.

Unlike those in incoming water lines which will continuously leak because of the continuous flow and pressure, slab leaks in sanitary sewer lines only leak when a toilet is flushed, someone takes a shower or bath, or faucet is turned on. There are four main causes of slab leaks in sanitary sewer lines. The first is a crack or break in the cast iron, galvanized steel, or PVC sewer pipes, caused by shifting of the foundation. The second is, in the case of cast iron or galvanized steel pipes, parts of the pipe may be exposed to soil, sand, or gravel which are porous to water -this can lead to rusting. The third cause is the chemicals, solvents, and cleaning solutions that are poured down the drain which interact and corrode the metal pipes. The fourth cause is poor craftsmanship or workmanship, inferior plumbing supplies or materials, or a plumber that rushes or isnt experienced.

If you think have a slab leak, you should get a free estimate from a qualified epoxy pipe lining company. Rather than go through the time-consuming (days or even weeks) and expensive process of either re-routing the affected plumbing altogether, or digging/breaking up your concrete floor or foundation, destroying the flooring you may have covered it with, and buying new replacement pipes, you may be able to save time and money by restoring the pipes you have, right where they are (by connecting epoxy lining equipment to your existing fixtures and valves). A conventional repair will solve your problem right now, but epoxy pipe lining can protect your plumbing system from future slab leaks.

1. Make sure your trucks ship fully loaded. You would be surprised to learn, according to the DOT, fully loaded trucks rarely happen. There are systems that help you achieve that goal. 4. Audit activities and renegotiate freight rates when there is an opportunity and lock the rates in for multiple years. Check on your freight payments and evaluate your competitiveness by going to the market often. But, when you think you have a good thing, lock the rates in with some form of indexing over the next few years.

5. Create the right mix of private fleet, dedicated trucks, dedicated capacity and spot-market purchases. The right mix can provide the right level of shipment security and be very good supply chain management. Use private fleet for high-service customer deliveries where back hauls are available or the length of haul is short. Dedicated trucks can be more cost effective - but you need to keep them moving too. Dedicated capacity is just that - some guarantee of the number of trucks that the carrier guarantees to provide on any day.

One of the disruptive points with interpretation of ISO 14001:2004 Standard and other quality and environmental standards is control of forms. Many companies treat forms in a different way than procedures, instructions or other documents.

Per ISO 14001:2004, clause 4.4.5, Control of documents, "Documents required by the environmental management system and by this International Standard shall be controlled." Let's see if a form qualifies to be a "document" that "shall be controlled".

Tables and table-based forms are frequently used as lower-level documents. Often, it is not needed to write a conventional instruction with the purpose, scope and instructions if a simple table can do a job. One of the typical non-conformities that companies get during their audits of their ISO 14001 environmental management systems is against forms that are not part of the environmental documentation system.

Repeatedly I discuss this issue with my clients. Regularly I hear the same answer "Why do I need control a form?" Honestly, I do not understand this! Why should a form be treated differently from any other document? How would one know that we need a form if it is not referenced in our ISO 14001 management system? If forms are not managed by your documentation system, and you decide to modify them, how can you be confident that you make changes to the latest revision? Anyway, what is a form? A short review will help answering this question. If we have a list of directions telling us to:

1 - make a table with two columns

2 - note your organization's name in the first column

3 - put your business's URL into the 2-nd column

There is no doubt; most of us would call this three-line direction a procedure or an instruction. So, if this is an instruction, it shall be controlled per ISO 14001 Standard.

Now, what if we were given a two-column table where the first column was titled "You enterprise name" and the second column "Internet address". We were asked to complete the form. Easy to imagine, we would enter our company's name and our URL in the table. It means that we interpreted this table as an "instruction". If it walks like duck it is a duck! OK, most like a duck

If we agree that our first three-line instruction in English was a "real" instruction, or a document that needs to be controlled, the second, blank form, resulting in the same output, must also be an instruction and then shall also be controlled!

It appears that the puzzlement about forms and their control originates from the fact that forms serve 2 functions. Not completed forms are instructions in tabular language. After a form is filled out, it becomes a record. Records, as we know, do not have a document number, or a revision level. Records are controlled by different processes. Remember this and treat your forms as instructions controlled by your document control procedure. Actually, there is a simple test you may take when you are thinking about not controlling a form.

- If in the past you developed a form for your environmental system and found it had been changed, would you want to know why it was done?

- If you revised one of your ISO 14001 forms, would you like your users use the latest revision?

- If you were absent, (a journey to Russia, let's say) would you like folks to find your form just by looking at a reference to it in your ISO 14001 environmental management system?

If you answered, "yes" at least once, your form is a definite candidate for being a part of your formal ISO 14001 documentation management system.

The Blood Donated will be used locally to help save those in our area. I think what really gets many of the Bikers to donate is the Free Harley Davidson of NYC T-Shirt.

To this day, the process of getting a loan is sometimes a grueling affair. The problem is, people don't want grueling, they want simple, fast and easy. Unfortunately that's not always possible, and was even less possible back then, where every step of the approval process implied a trip to the local bank branch. Secured loans had always been much less of a hassle, but just like the other loans, you had to physically go to the branch.

Since the World Wide Web started gaining in popularity in the mid-90's, the financial industry has been taking advantage of the many opportunities this medium offers, notably in the area of lending. When it comes to secured loans, the process has really been streamlined. In theory, this is the "safest" type of loan a financial institution can give out: the borrower gives a collateral of equal value to the loan that he/she is applying for, and allows that collateral to be taken away if the loan is not paid off. Thus what happens is that information that pertains to your capacity to repay the loan becomes largely irrelevant.

You will be asked to give general information about yourself and what you do for a living. The current international climate also requires that you undergo a security verification, notably for the source of the funds. From then on, what your lender will most care about will be the information that you'll have to provide that prove that the collateral you're offering belongs to you and is actually exists. Besides that, they bring considerable benefits: easy approval, quick disbursement, and rock-bottom interest rates. And as a bonus, they can be used as a tool to improve your credit.

While the rest of country is in housing downturn, Baltimore condominiums market is little better than the rest of the country. While the real estate has declined significantly, the sales prices of condos remain stable. The average sales price for condos in Baltimore was $280,000 in 2008 compared with about the same in the July of 2007.

Luxury condo markets in greater Baltimore area also did not decline much, with recent listing in Georgetown area for $1,300,000 a $400 per square feet, a healthy price for a luxury condo. The price decline seem to be in condos in the middle or lower end of the buyer. But the downside has been extra cost associated with increased friendliness to the environment, but it is absolutely necessary to attract new buyers.

I'm just going to touch on a forex trading education that nobody else seems to talk about: the concept of price action. It has been around since the first trade was taken in the stock market.

So, it's kind of surprising that so many people aren't aware of the profit potential it could bring.

Unfortunately we (traders) have gotten a bit too lazy throughout the years. We'd much prefer to let a machine, or an indicator tell us what's what, instead of figuring it out for ourselves.

It seems that everywhere you turn, there is some kind indicator or mechanical system being sold to the public. You can go to any forex forum to see that.

But how often do you hear about price action? My guess is not too much. It is a bit of a broad term, which is why I think most traders dismiss it, and go for the easy shortcuts. But they don't see all the information they are missing. For example:

Price action patterns: Have you ever just sat down and looked at a basic price chart with no indicators, and just focused on what the price was doing. If you did, you might have noticed that there a patterns in which the price movement constantly duplicates and can provide an insight as to where the future price is headed.

The Trend: How on earth could a technical trader trade without knowing the trend. Some people feel they can just throw a couple of moving averages and expect to find it that way. To that I say "rubbish". There is no indicator in the world that can do a better job of spotting the trend quite like price action.

Support and Resistance Areas: I'm always stunned to see how many people think they are following the real support and resistance when they use these metatrader indicators. The truth is there is no indicator that can support and resistance. The faster you accept that, the better off you are going to be.

Every time I have a chiropractor come-up to me at one of my live events, going on and on about how great pay per click is for advertising on Yahoo and Google, I just chuckle to myself.
